Hacking the vWii (on Wii U) With No Game

REQUIRED HARDWARE
– SD Card
– (optional) USB hard drive (plug in to back top USB port)

REQUIRED SOFTWARE
– Wii U with 5.5.1 firmware (newest)
vWii SD Files (DmpMiNND, USBLoaderGX, d2x-cios-installer, Nintendont, YAWMM, wuphax, HackMii)

1) vWII SETUP: Put SD card in Wii U. Visit loadiine.ovh website in Wii U web browser. You will be redirected to the homebrew browser. Click on wuphax.elf, press START. Press A to backup and inject vWii.

2) Go to vWii channel. Start the Mii channel app. Follow the prompts to install the homebrew channel app to vWii. The vWii portion of Wii U is now hacked!

USBLoaderGX for Wii & GameCube Games

Follow these steps in order, do not skip any.
NOTE: GameCube games are loaded via .ISO format. Wii games are in .WBFS format. eShop games & channels are in .WAD format.

1) Homebrew Setup: Download the vWii SD Files (use link above) and place all files/folders on your SD card.

2) cIOS249/cIOS250 Setup: Launch “Dump Mii NAND” from homebrew browser. When it’s done your console resets.
Launch “d2x cIOS Installer” from homebrew browser.

Select cIOS : (Alternative: beta52)
Select cIOS base : <56>
Select cIOS slot : <249>

– Press A to install and wait for installation to finish, press A to continue.

Select cIOS : (Alternative: beta52)
Select cIOS base : <57>
Select cIOS slot : <250>

– Press A to install and wait for installation to finish, press A to continue.

Select cIOS : (Alternative: beta52)
Select cIOS base : <58>
Select cIOS slot : <251>

– Press A to install and wait for installation to finish, press A to continue. Press B to exit.

3) USBLoaderGX Setup: Install Forwarder WAD with YAWMM. Launch USBLoaderGX, be sure the filter to show Wii games is on.

4) GameCube Setup: Launch USBLoaderGX. Open settings > Loader, scroll down to the “GAMECUBE” section, and change Loader to “Nintendont”. Make sure the Gamecube game filter is on.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q) My hard drive makes a clicking sound and isn’t recognized.
A) You can’t use USB powered HDDs. You need thumb drives or HDDs with power cables.

Q) I’m on redNAND and when I launch vWii I get an error.
A) vWii can only be launched on sysNAND.
