Silence mouse click noise

If you podcast or livestream you know how annoying mouse click noises are. Even if you’re just playing some Diablo II or III with friends or family in the room it can get pretty annoying. But, did you know there is a way to silence them for near the cost of nothing!

  • Tape
  • Philips head screwdriver
  • Scissors
  • Knife

1. If you are doing this on a wireless mouse, remove the batteries. There will be 1 or 2 screws you will remove beneath them. Pull up on the bottom of the battery compartment to remove the top shell.

2. Use the knife to pry open the button compartments. See video above for exact placement of knife. Hold mouse upside down when doing this so that the small white tab in the center does not fall out.

3. Cut a small piece of tape to place in between the small metal clicking mechanism. See video above for exact placement of tape.

4. Hold the mouse upside down again to place the cap back on. You can now test if the clicks are sensitive and quiet enough to your liking. Repeat steps above if you need to make adjustments.
